Client Vision
Brian M Durkan are a team we have a lot of experience with, and we are very much in accord with their vision here at Irish Fencing Services.
“We are creating the homes of the future with sustainable vision and design, but also with staunch and experienced builder’s hands”
The Key Challenges
The Challenges of this project can be seen from the project description. The completed development consists of 265 high quality one and two bedroom apartments spread across four blocks ranging from three to seven storeys. It also includes two guest apartments, a retail/café unit, a resident’s gym, meeting rooms, residents’ lounges, BBQ areas, 119 car parking spaces, electric car chargers, internal semi-public paths, public and private open spaces and all communal facilities including, refuse and bike parking.
Overcoming The Challenge
We were involved in the development from a very early stage working with Durkans on site personnel in particular with the Site Engineer and QS. Tim Walsh Our MD. Shane Winters reviewed the design brief and locations for the various different fencing and gates required in meetings with them and suggested a number of base designs and products to be worked from we provided samples and locations were similar products had been used. The criteria were appearance, safety, minimal maintenance, and value. After initial Selection of design, we then submitted drawings for the clients approval outlining the variations dictated by site factors and various different fixings required for walls structures and ground conditions..
