There are 4 standard approved designs of Pedestrian Guardrail in the PG range.
The Visirail design uses staggered infills to give greater visibility of traffic.
Our PG range of barriers are made to BS 7818 there are 4 basic designs and each of these comes with 2 choices of infill size. Each design suits different applications so please check the information below to ensure you select the correct product for your project.
Finish choices are Galvanised or Galvanised and colour Powder Coated (Plasgalv®) finish to clients choice.
Panels can be provided with baseplates for fitting to existing surfaces or with extended posts for concreting into the ground, Sloped and radiused panels are available in each design.

PG 1 and 1B Pedestrian Barrier
Pedestrian Guardrail PG 1 Barrier designed to stop Pedestrian contact with Traffic. Designed to Dept. of Transport Specifications. PG 1 has bars to the full height. It is constructed using 12mm infill PG 1 B uses 16mm, the use of each design is selected by reference to traffic flow and speed and pedestrian usage.

PG 2 and 2B Pedestrian Barrier
Pedestrian Guardrail PG 2 Barrier designed to stop Pedestrian contact with Traffic. Designed to Dept. of Transport Specifications. PG 2 has bars to 200mm below the top rail to give a window for children to have vision of traffic movement. It is constructed using 12mm infill PG 2 B uses 16mm, the use of each design is selected by reference to traffic flow and speed and pedestrian usage. PG 2 barriers are used in areas close to schools and children’s play areas.
